Media SAR: Video
Detect faces in footage and track the blur as people move through the frame.
Video is the most demanding thing Fisar does. Faces move, turn away and change angle - so a blur has to follow the person through the footage rather than sit in one spot.

Video processing requires a DPO account. It cannot be done from the organisation dashboard.
Step by step
Click New SAR, then Process media
The same route as images.
Drag and drop the video
Drop the file in. Attach it to an existing SAR if relevant.
Continue and create the request
Enter the requester's name and click Create Request.
Let detection run
Faces are detected and tracked across frames. This is the slow part.
Select faces to keep visible
Choose the faces that should remain unblurred.
Proceed with redaction
Fisar reports how many faces were redacted and how many kept visible.
Download and verify
Enter the archive password, open the file, and watch it back to confirm the blur tracked correctly.
Processing time
Video can take up to one to two hours, though it is often faster. Processing runs server-side - you can close the browser, shut your laptop and come back later.
There are practical limits on how long a video Fisar can process. For lengthy footage, speak to Fisar before committing to a deadline.
The same person may be detected twice
As someone turns or moves through a scene, Fisar may register them as more than one detected face.
If you want a person to stay visible, check whether they appear more than once in the detected faces and select every instance. Miss one and they will be blurred for part of the footage.
Face detection is an aid to your judgement, not a replacement for it. Always watch the finished video before releasing it.
